LCCI believes that Women are vital force in the private sector and development aspirations of Nigeria. This is why the Chamber inaugurated the LCCI women group in 2010 as an additional impetus for developing & growing women entrepreneurs and building the right network. Today, LCCI Women Group has over 1,000 members and have emerged over the last five years as one of the most effective platforms for training young women entrepreneurs, LCCI women corporative (for facilitation of small credits to women owned SMEs), Mentorship of young women entrepreneurs by successful and influential older women and Networking. The platform has successfully attracted about N100 million ($500,000) government assisted SMEs sector fund (distributed to young women businesses) over the last two years.
