LCCI Hosts 4TH Edition of ICTEL Expo

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), the premier Chamber of Commerce and a leading voice in the organised private sector (OPS) in Nigeria, is set to host the 4th edition of the Information, Communication, Technology and Telecommunications (ICTEL) Expo.

The tech event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th July, 2018 by 9am daily at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Muda Yusuf, Director General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) said: “The ICTEL EXPO is positioned to be a veritable platform for both operators and regulators to network, showcase and explore with technology with the view to repositioning the ICT sector of the economy.”

Yusuf added “that this year’s edition promises to be the best ever in the series with the theme “Developing Efficiency and Competitiveness in the Digital Age” This is intended to create a platform to discuss strategies for economic diversification and business sustainability with particular focus on ICT. There would also be conferences and exhibition during the two-day event.

Yusuf also emphasized that relevant agencies and departments of the Government will be available to exhibit and attend to other exhibitors and participants. He stated that the Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies that have confirmed attendance to participants are Ministry of Communications; Science and Technology; Agriculture, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) amongst others. In addition, the Honourable Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu and his Science and Technology counterpart, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu are expected to grace the event as Special Guests. While Mr. James Agada, Chief Executive Officer, Computer Warehouse Group is expected to deliver the Keynote Address at the Expo. The thematic focus-areas include: Strategic Data Management in a Digital World, Impact of Agric-tech in an Emerging Economy, Master Class Session with SMEs, Digital Economy and the Financial Sector, The Role of Technology in Education and Youth Empowerment, Emerging Technologies and Healthcare management and Technology and the Future of Elections.

Yusuf stated that “so far, so good the excitement that the Expo has generated has been phenomenal and we are indeed happy about it.”
