Our Quality Policy

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is committed to consistently promoting business environment and value delivery to its stakeholders.

The LCCI is committed to the implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the requirements of International Standard ISO 9001:2015 and would ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements in its operations and service delivery.

LCCI ensures that quality objectives are set at Corporate and Departmental levels. To effectively achieve this policy, the Chamber shall focus on the following:

  • Commitment to the full implementation of the Quality Management System.
    Ensure that the Quality Management System is entrenched by providing resources necessary to make it effective.
  • Commitment to periodic QMS audits, Management review and suggestions for continuous system improvements.
    Ensure that the quality policy is reviewed for continual suitability.
  • Deployment of effective technologies and processes to deliver products and services that meet customers’ expectations consistently.
    Maintenance of documented Quality Management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 standard and review as appropriate.

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry undertakes to ensure that this policy is communicated, understood, implemented, maintained and made available to relevant interested parties as appropriate.

The Chamber, as the representative organ of the business community, is a leading voice of the Organised Private Sector in Nigeria. It maintains regular consultations on policies and measures affecting business and the economy.

The Chamber makes representations to the Federal Government on issues of interest to the business community, states and the economy

Brief History

The Journey So Far

Founded in 1888, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the Premier Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria. It was incorporated in 1950 as a non-profit making organization, Limited by Guarantee under the Companies Act of 1948.

It is the foremost private sector group in Nigeria with over 4, 000 corporate members. It also accounts for an estimated 60% of industrial output, 65% of general commerce and 75% financial services in the country.

The primary objective of the Chamber is to promote, support or oppose legislative or other measures affecting trade, industry, commerce and agriculture. The Chamber represents the opinion of the business community on the above matters in particular and economy as a whole. Over the past thirteen decades, LCCI has remained the leading voice of the private sector through its sustained public policy advocacy, stakeholders’ engagement and trade promotion activities.
